Top 10 Prospect Autographs in 2024 Bowman Draft

Top 10 Prospects in 2024 Bowman Draft

I’m currently going through the process of updating all of my Bowman Autograph Checklist Breakdowns on my Patreon Page.  I recently finished up my complete breakdown of 2024 Bowman Draft and wanted to share some of my favorite prospects for this release.  I’ll also post some sleeper prospects for this release in my next article. To avoid confusion, you can find a quick breakdown of my different rankings on my Resources Page.

10. BRADEN MONTGOMERY - OF - CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Montgomery is a high risk bat with a corner OF defensive ceiling. He's got some thump as a switch hitter and has hit for a solid average across his MiLB career. I worry about his high GB/FB rates from a career standpoint. He was promoted to AA to finish the 2025 season and saw a near 5% increase in his K% that was already a bit high in A+. If he gets the ball in the air more we could see the power ceiling get much higher. A full season in AA/AAA next year should give us a better look at how his K data pans out over a larger sample size.

9. BRYCE RAINER - SS - DETROIT TIGERS

Rainer got off to a hot start in Low A this season but suffered a season ending shoulder injury. He's got a big arm that would play well at both SS and 3B (he also has good stuff on the mound but that most likely won't be pursued unless his hit tool is a complete flop). Rainer will have the tools to hit for both average and power but (due to injury) has yet to face any upper minors arms/velocity. He only had a handful of PA's vs LHP but actually hit them better over a small sample size. His cards have been hovering right around $50 since the injury and a big 2026 season could catapult his value in the future.

8. JAMES TIBBS III - OF - LOS ANGELES DODGERS

Tibbs has played for 3 teams since being drafted 13th overall in 2024. He's got some big power and finished the 2025 season with 20 HR's while holding respectable K#'s. The offensive profile looks like power over hit. Defensively he is looking like a corner OF ceiling but hopefully his power can compensate for that. The Dodgers MLB lineup is very difficult to crack and Tibbs will have to continue to rake in order to see any time in the MLB. Dalton Rushing hit 26 HR's between AA/AAA in 2024 and wasn't able to get consistent playing time with the MLB squad in 2025.

7. MIKE SIROTA - OF - LOS ANGELES DODGERS

Sirota has the chance to profile as a speedy, hit/power, CF prospect with some pretty solid upside. He was put on the 60 IL in July after injuring his knee and I couldn't find any reports on timeline (if he'd be healthy to start the 2026 season). The injury prevented Sirota from getting any AA experience in 2026 so I'm assuming that's where he will start the 2026 season. We still don't have much data on Sirota due to injuries but after watching some AB's on video I really like the upside.

6. TRAVIS BAZZANA - 2B - CLEVELAND GUARDIANS

Bazzana's 2025 season was limited due to oblique injuries on both sides of his body (we don't know how long he played through these injuries which may have impacted his performance). He still managed to find some success posting a 130+ WRC+ at both AA and AAA this season. He's got plenty of power to profile at second base but the big question will be how much of it he gets to at the MLB level. His K%'s were fringy in both 2024 and 2025 which leads me to believe there might be a bit of hit tool risk at the MLB level. There's no doubt if he is healthy in 2026, he should make his MLB debut early in the season. Compared to other high ceiling prospects, Bazzana still seems a bit cheap at $100.

5. KAELEN CULPEPPER - SS - MINNESOTA TWINS

Culpepper had an impressive year in 2026 splitting time between A+ and AA. His numbers didn't budge between the 2 levels and his defensive upside at SS continues to climb. Aside from elevated GB/FB rates and average BB%'s, there aren't any red flags data wise. He'll most likely start the 2026 season in AA with the possibility of a AAA promotion depending on his performance. The Twins are pretty solid at the MLB level, infield wise, but Culpepper could be the next man up late in the 2026 season. He's also still quite cheap for his ceiling at $40.

4. RYAN WALDSCHMIDT - OF - ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS

Waldschmidt had a big 2025 season across a 600 PA sample size between A+ and AA. He's shown qualities of a high floor hit tool in the MiLB while running into some power in 2025 with 18 HR's. He does everything really well offensively and I htin his ceiling will be determined by how his bat plays out against MLB stuff and whether or not he stays in CF or gets moved to a COF position. He's old so his timeline to the MLB will have to be quick in 2026 for the hobby to get on board.

3. CALEB BONEMER - 3B/SS - CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Bonemer's stock is at an all-time high and for good reason. He dominated Low A this year and received a late season promotion to A+ where he found quick success over a small sample size. He's shown the ability to hit for average and power with exceptional underlying data (BB%, SwStr%, and GB/FB rate). Defensively, he's looking more like a 3B prospect moving forward since he didn't play any SS in A+ and spent over 200 innings at 3B in Low A. Right now, this kid checks all of the boxes, unfortunately he plays for a team that has finished last in the AL Central for 2 consecutive years.

2. CARSON BENGE - OF - NEW YORK METS

Benge played across 3 levels in 2025 finishing up in AAA. He was dominant in both A+ and AA but hit a bit of a cold streak in August/September in AAA. Benge's offensive profile provides both contact and power with exceptional underlying data in the following categories (K% & SwStr%). He's still getting the majority of his defensive reps in CF but may fall into a corner OF position at the MLB level. Benge did struggle a bit with a R/L split this year hitting .232 against southpaw's with only 1 HR in 95 AB's. His performance in 2025 has almost doubled his current comps, which are now at peak. He's the top ranking OF prospect in the Mets Organization and also has some experience in AAA making him a great candidate for a 2026 callup to the MLB level.

1. KONNOR GRIFFIN - SS - PITTSBURGH PIRATES

Griffin was lights out in 2025 and arguably the best player in the MiLB this season. His stock is at an all time high with base autos peaking around $350 right now. There's no doubt his talent is real but I'm concerned about whether or not he'll be able to replicate his 2025 numbers over a full AA/AAA season (because they were just that good) to maintain his current value. There are only 2 ways he can increase his prices at this point - outperforming his 2025 season or getting a callup in 2026 and finding quick success at the MLB level. There's always risk buying a base auto at $350 - no matter how incredible the talent level is.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

CHASE HARLAN - 3B - LOS ANGELES DODGERS

Harlan was a bit of a surprise coming out of the 3rd round and crushing the Complex League post draft. He received a late season promotion to Low A just after his 19th birthday where he struggled a bit across a smaller sample size. Harlan is a big kid standing at 6'3" with plenty of time to add strength and power giving him quite a high power ceiling at the moment (he already hit 9 HR"s in 2025). I don't get too excited about players who have success in the DSL and CPX League so I'll be watching Harlan closely in 2026 to see how he handles his first full season in A/A+. His comps are all over the place - some base autos sold for $12 this month while others sold for $25. I guess if you look hard enough you can find some deals.

THEO GILLEN - OF - TAMPA BAY RAYS

Gillen is a young, high ceiling OF prospect who battled some injuries in 2025. While the K rate is a bit high for Low A, he takes a ton of walks and holds above average SwStr%'s across his career. There's a high hit, power, speed ceiling here but staying healthy, improving his K rate, and lowering his GB/FB rate will be important in 2026. He should be playing a full season in A+ next year which will give us a better look at how the contact rates pan out against better stuff. He's still getting 95% of his reps in CF for now and seems a little too cheap as well.
